What Birdie is

Birdie is a directory that connects homeowners with independent tradeswomen. Birdie is a connection platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a tradeswoman, we are not a contractor or employer of any tradeswoman listed here, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work.

No liability for work performed

Every tradeswoman on Birdie is an independent business owner. We review submissions before profiles go live, but that review is not a guarantee of work quality, licensing status, insurance, or outcome. Birdie is not liable for the quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of any work performed by a tradeswoman found through this site. You are responsible for vetting any tradeswoman you contact — checking licenses, insurance, references, and anything else that matters to you — and for agreeing to your own terms, pricing, and scope of work directly with her.

For tradeswomen listed on Birdie

• Information you submit must be accurate. License and certification info is self-reported; you're responsible for its accuracy.
• You retain ownership of your photos, bio, and any media you submit, and grant Birdie a license to display it on the site and, with your permission, in our own social content.
• You can edit or remove your profile at any time.
• Listing on Birdie is free — we don't take a cut of your jobs and we don't sell your leads.
• We can remove a profile that violates these terms or misrepresents itself, at our discretion.

For homeowners

• Browsing the directory and sending inquiries is free.
• Any agreement — pricing, scope, timeline, payment — is between you and the tradeswoman directly. Birdie is not involved and holds no funds.
• We ask for honest reviews after a completed job; reviews are moderated before appearing publicly.

Disclaimer of warranties

Birdie is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the directory will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listed tradeswoman will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Birdie and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any work performed by a tradeswoman you contacted through it.

Changes

We may update these terms as Birdie grows. We'll post the date of the latest revision at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
